Tell us about yourself
My daily work involves leading the Talent Acquisition team at Zenseact, which means spearheading our recruitment efforts and employer branding to ensure we have the right talent in the company at every stage.
What’s it like to work at Zenseact?
It’s incredibly stimulating! I mean, we’re at the forefront of AI, which is advancing at a humungous pace. This presents constant challenges with new technologies, new people, and new ideas, so you really must stay updated.
Another impressive aspect is how we work together, care about each other, and take the time to figure things out. When our team members come together, they combine their diverse skills and perspectives to solve problems, be creative, and enhance productivity. I think our culture here is so supportive that challenges turn into opportunities for growth instead of causing stress!
Collaboration is at the heart of any thriving company culture. And I think we excel in that regard. When we feel valued, we become more engaged and invested in our work, which ultimately leads to better outcomes.
What are candidates typically looking for in a company like Zenseact?
Generally, our candidates seek purpose. They want to be part of something bigger than just company profits or measurable outcomes. Reports also indicate that candidates want to work for a company that embodies good values, such as equality and sustainability, and contributes positively to the world.
An awesome thing about Zenseact is the opportunities you get to put your ideas to the test. To see your innovation come to life. You can brainstorm an idea over breakfast and then head to the office – or work from home – to code it, download it to a test car during lunch, and take it for a spin on the highway in the afternoon. That’s pretty neat.
A fascinating aspect about Lindholmen, where our main office is located, is its highly strategic position. We are among a few clusters worldwide where the entire chain of companies and activities flourish in the automotive sector. Everything is more or less consolidated in one spot. Here, you have R&D, software development, and all aspects related to car production and design situated closely together, enabling learning, visiting, and collaborating with individuals who have the expertise you need – all within an hour's distance from your office.
Why is recruitment so important at a company like Zenseact?
To be at the forefront of technology, you need the brightest minds available. That’s just the way it is. But what defines a bright mind in an ever-changing landscape of new technologies?
We seek individuals who can tackle challenging problems and show concern for others. In today's fast-paced world, adaptability and teamwork are crucial. This blend of intelligence and compassion is what propels progress here at Zenseact.
We know that strong analytical skills and emotional intelligence are key to our success. They help create a supportive work environment that fosters innovation. By guiding employees in managing their thoughts and feelings, we can effectively take on important challenges.
Essentially, it boils down to recruiting bright individuals who can learn new things, generate innovative ideas, and adapt to shifting circumstances. So, it's not only about what you do or know today. It's about what you can learn and figure out about tomorrow.
What type of talent should join Zenseact?
Anyone who thrives in change and possesses the smarts to solve complex problems and genuinely cares about others will find this company intriguing.
As I mentioned, one of the most remarkable aspects is how we come together and support each other. We take the time to overcome challenges, even in areas that may not be fully developed, simply because we improve from it. It helps us grow as a company.
A successful workplace is where people are willing to step out of their comfort zones and try new things. Taking on projects in different departments or learning from others improves everyone's experience.
Working together across different fields also allows our employees to share knowledge and ideas, improving the organization's overall skills. This openness promotes a culture of ongoing learning and innovation, helping with personal and professional development, which is important to us.
What makes you smile at work?
It's probably connected to the culture and love surrounding this place, where people genuinely try to do good for others, both inside and outside the company. We try to do things that are effective and safe and create a better world tomorrow than we had yesterday. That thought makes me smile.
Like every organization, we aim to create a positive legacy. We can inspire our employees by focusing on safety, innovation, and improving the world. When individuals feel their work contributes to a greater cause, they become more motivated and committed. This blend of thought, empathy, community, and a vision for a better future makes work enjoyable and meaningful.
To succeed at work, you need both smarts and kindness. Companies can create settings that promote personal growth, foster good relationships, and work together for a better future. That’s our goal. It’s ambitious, but there you have it.
