Who Gets to Build the Future?
Why Zenseact partners with organizations creating more inclusive pathways into tech.
At Zenseact, we believe the future of autonomous technology depends on who gets to build it. That is why working with Pink Programming, WIT Gothenburg, Girls at Tech Nordics, Changers Hub and similar organizations has always felt like the most natural thing in the world.
We are proud to share that our colleague Rahell Rada has taken on the role of CEO of Girls at Tech Nordics, and we asked her to tell us why.
“I have spent ten years finding talent for some of the most exciting tech companies in the Nordics. And one thing I kept seeing, over and over, was how narrow the pipeline was. Not because the talent wasn’t there, but because we were looking too late. Girls at Tech Nordics goes to the source. We meet girls and non-binary young people at 13 to 15, before they have decided that tech is not for them. Before they have talked themselves out of it. That is the moment that matters.
For me, taking on this role is not separate from my work at Zenseact. It is the same work. Building a future where the people who build autonomous technology look like the world they are building it for.”
We could not agree more. Girls at Tech Nordics is active in 12 cities across Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, with 34+ partners. And we are proud to continue as sponsors, because this is exactly the kind of long game worth playing.
