Insights from the team 

The team works with a complex and versatile tech stack that orchestrates the framework and tools that supports or enables Zenseact’s feature teams to easily run, test and verify in simulation, on hardware and in vehicles. The main advantage with the orchestration is the fact that the target vehicle does not exist until very late in a project, have limited capacity or is just very cumbersome to work with when you need fast iterations. So, bring your talent and assist us speed up the iteration loop, providing better and faster feedback to the Zenseact developer community. Like to improve things? Your mission and day-to-day tasks 

You will work in a tightly knitted team of 4-5 highly engaged colleagues. The teams work autonomously in sprints and increments according to scrum. You as a developer - and the team - are in focus, the Product Owner and Engineering Manager is there to support you and make sure you have the prerequisites to excel as a person and as a team. 

The daily work will include a wide variety of tasks in different platform environments and a multitude of protocols. It will be a mix of Python, C++ and scripting to improve our development platform, making it even more flexible, efficient and user-friendly. It could also be implementing a tool that will further enable remote debugging, system health monitoring, and system inspection or improving the dashboard for visualizing vehicle and system status live in vehicle. Within the area we also have a rotating support schedule where you and your team during a sprint also enable and support your colleagues with different challenges related to how to evolve the platform, the test-framework or issues related to CI-flow.  

You and the team will play a vital role, enabling the company to be fast and successful out on the market, providing the best possible software for autonomous drive and thereby saving millions of lives.   

Qualifications & experiences 

Your prime characteristic is your ability to look at the overall picture, be able to zoom in on the details and out again – and how those perspectives connect. It is your motivation and attitude that is key to us, and that you enjoy working agile in small teams with a high degree of freedom. You should also be able to put a tick in the box in these: 

• Experienced with Python and C++ 
• Hands on software engineering experience on an industrial scale: design, implementation, test, delivery and quality management 
• Experienced with Linux  
• Great insight of software patterns, architecture and of structured software testing - Unit, component and system test.  
• Large scale CI/CD with a continuous flow  

Also beneficial:

• Agile development and DevOps WoW 
• Having worked with Bazel 
• Working with Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) and vehicle testing is meriting
