Our team focuses on architectural and system design through thorough analysis. We produce the requirements, analysis documents, and flow diagrams our developers use to build our software. We design multiple modules and components that collectively form our product, ensuring harmonized features between development teams. We are a diverse team of six, plus our scrum master and product owner, bringing a wealth of experience and varied backgrounds.

Your mission and day-to-day tasks

As a System Design Engineer, you will:

• Harmonize and accept incoming requirements.
• Break down and allocate harmonized requirements.
• Align requirements and testing between development teams within the same technical design.
• Support the fulfillment of the Technical Safety concept.
• Enable test specifications for System Integration Testing.
• Develop and support the System design process and guidelines.

Your typical day will include:

• Coordinating with various stakeholders.
• Creating and maintaining flow diagrams and analysis documents.
• Ensuring robust and harmonized feature development across teams.

Qualifications & experience

Essential experience

• A relevant academic background in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  
  
• For this role you would have the best pre-requisites if you have experience as:
  
  - a System Design Engineer with 3+ years of work experience within Software Engineering.
  
  - Or as a Software Developer or Tester with 8+ years of work experience, including a strong interest in System and Architectural Design and foundational knowledge of System Design.
  
• Strong proficiency in requirements-based development and technical documentation.
• Experience with documentation systems such as SystemWeaver.

Advantageous to possess, but absolutely not a must

• Experience in the Automotive industry.
• Experience in Active Safety and Autonomous solutions.
• Familiarity with Confluence and JIRA.
