Zenseact is deploying its OnePilot autonomous driving service on our lead customers’, Polestar and Volvo Cars, a coming vehicle platform that carries game-changing compute and sensing technologies never experienced in the Automotive industry. Zenseact China’s mission is to develop and deploy Zenseact’s OnePilot autonomous driving software service for its lead customers Polestar and Volvo Cars in the Chinese market and drive the commercial expansion to other innovative carmakers in China.

Zenseact is built on the inventors of Active Safety from the early 1990s and is elevated with highly skilled AI and Software Engineers from other software-oriented sectors. Today, we are a team of 500+ highly ambitious Engineers based in Shanghai, China and Gothenburg, Sweden.

Insight from the team

The data service team at Zenseact China is responsible for all data-related activities from data collection to data process for next-generation ADAS and AD software. The team is part of a global core development organization with close collaboration with our engineers in Sweden. We are looking to expand our team with skilled data engineers to address the needs of the fast-evolving AD and ADAS market and solve the challenging China-specific issues. Our job is not only challenging but highly rewarding, and we’re looking for a new team member to complete our team!

Your mission and day-to-day tasks

You will work in an agile team with IT colleagues from Sweden & China, as well as previously mentioned interact with external parties, suppliers, etc. from across the globe. With both standard and automation, ensuring that we have an environment we can easily monitor and maintain. Together with the following tasks:

• Linux System Administration:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and workstations.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources.
  • Perform regular system updates and patches.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Provide technical support and expertise to resolve system-related issues。
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex problems.
  • Engage in discussions over best practices with the user community
• Documentation:
  • Maintain up-to-date system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Train team members and end-users on Linux best practices.
• Automation and Scripting:
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline system tasks and processes.
  • Implement configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
  • Ensure efficient deployment and scaling of Linux resources.
• Contribute to Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
  • Collaborate with the development and IT teams to design and deploy Linux-based solutions.
  • Configure and maintain server hardware and network components.
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard the Linux infrastructure.

Qualifications & experience

• Essential qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator or Linux Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) and automation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in communicating in English
• Desirable qualifications
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience from managing HPC environments
  • Working with suppliers in a managed services set-up
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is desirable.
  • Certifications such as RHCE, LFCS, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are a plus.
