Insights from the Team

We are team Frank, developing Map-based Road Estimation for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD) at Zenseact. Our job is to locate the car we’re driving within the high-definition map. To achieve this, we use all available sensors in the vehicle: Cameras, lidar, high-precision GNSS, and of course the map. Knowing where we are in the map is key to planning a future trajectory for the vehicle and this trajectory enables the self-driving part we’re all looking forward to. Our job is not only challenging but highly rewarding, and we’re looking for a new team member to complete our team!

Your mission & day-to-day tasks

Develop and evaluate high performance and safety critical signal processing algorithms to enable trajectory planning for ADAS and AD features.

Drive the car! Testing is of great importance to us and the more we do it offline, the better. That said, we absolutely go driving around to test the application in its entirety.

Work in a highly Agile environment using Scrum and a bit of Kanban, to develop the team backlog items according to the Product Owner’s prioritization but also to support other teams that have dependencies towards you.

Your background and experience

We are looking for a software developer with proficiency in complex real-time algorithms. Your educational background and previous experience have made you knowledgeable in signal processing and localization fundamentals, like Kalman filtering. Furthermore, applying your C++ and Python skills to embedded systems development is something you feel comfortable in. Software architecture, test strategies, and the usage of data to evaluate the performance of your software and improve it are right up your alley.

We hope that you know what continuous integration means and includes. The expression “green master” needs no explanation to you, and you intervene to keep it green when it is needed of you. Continuous learning and pushing boundaries is something you really enjoy, both by yourself and together with your team.

To quickly get up to speed in your new role, it helps if you know Git, Gerrit, and Jenkins. Team Frank need you to embrace the Agile values.

You put safety first. We’re talking about cars driving themselves. Therefore, knowledge in Functional Safety is seen as a plus.

Flexible-remote way of working: Zenseact has a flexible and modern approach, thus is happy to offer to its employees the possibility for a combination of work at the office and from home. This doesn't include fully remote work from outside Sweden/China.
